SUMMARY: Power Plant Services (PPS) has been in operation since 1998. We currently have locations in Melrose Park, IL; Oswego, IL; Marion, OH; and Ball Ground, GA. PPS is truly a turnkey, aftermarket manufacturing and service provider.  We have increased our capabilities to meet customer's needs by providing services such as Parts Manufacturing, Technical & Engineering Services, Repair Services, Field Machining and Field Service in an exceptional short delivery time.

THE ROLE

The Marketing & Strategy Manager will develop strategies, campaigns and activation platforms for services that leverage Power Plant Services expertise in content marketing, experiential marketing, and customer engagement. The ideal candidate should have a passion for developing creative and impactful marketing solutions and will have experience creating compelling presentation materials to support new business efforts. It is critical that the Marketing & Strategy Manager is experienced in the entire development process from research and analysis to mine key insights, to creative ideation, to sell-in of concepts, to proposal development.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS

  • Provide thought leadership, guidance and direction that serves as the foundation for Power Plant Services marketing strategies for both existing and potential new customers
  • Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional activities
  • Acquire comprehensive understanding of customer objectives and how Power Plant Services can uniquely be positioned to help the customer achieve those goals
  • Develop and present new business proposals, strategies and recommendations to new clients and prospects
  • Conduct desk research and lead internal brainstorms to not only identify key brand and consumer insights, but also translate these insights into actionable marketing strategies and platforms for new and existing clients
  • Support Power Plant Services senior staff, sales team and practice group heads with identifying and pursuing new opportunities in the marketplace
  • Collaborate with the sales function
  • Support all efforts for a number of trade shows annually

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, liberal arts or another related field
  • Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years in a marketing role in manufacturing or related organization (salary commensurate with experience)
  • Experience in all aspects of developing and managing marketing strategies
  • Relevant product and industry knowledge a plus
  • Advanced strategic and analytical ability
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations
  • Ability to manage multiple programs/projects concurrently
  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
