The Epicor System Administrator will supervise and operate the organization's ERP systems through implementation of best practices.  This includes installing, configuring, patching, upgrading, and maintaining the company's investments in the chose ERP technologies.  Moreover, the position requires that the employee be able to plan and coordinate the change management of processes required for the support of ERP systems necessary for business operations.  This individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to solve issues related to the deployment of mission-critical ERP software.  Must be team player and able to get along with a diverse group of people with a common goal.

Critical Competencies and Duties:

  • Technical Ability: Maintain ERP system reliability and security through current oversight and maintenance activities. Capability to implement and customize system modules and solutions to meet business needs.  Must be able to build SQL views, conduct software upgrades and testing, and implement and customize system modules and solutions to meet business needs.
  • Technical Ability: Employee will maintain, upgrade and develop custom SSRS and Crystal Reports. Additionally, responsible for building Epicor BAQ reports, updatable Dashboards and C#BPMs.  Must be able to develop and maintain BI dashboards in QlikView. 
  • Technical Support: Serve as the subject matter expert on the organizations ERP system. Utilize, guide, and train the office personnel to manage their responsibilities within ERP Communications: The employee will have excellent listening, verbal and written skills in order to clearly exchange ideas with all stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Possess an ability to change current work plans in order to meet corporate aims. Incumbent will be required to work on special projects on occasion to increase the effectiveness of the IT Department.
  • Relationship Building: Work with end users and outside application and technology providers to meet company IT goals.
  • Initiative: Perform user training to attain improved utilization of system. Identify areas of opportunity and develop plans to improve IT operations with consideration to the needs of the client and the business.  Assist in system performance tests and upgrade process. Write documentation and perform user training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 5 years direct experience administrating ERP applications.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information systems, or business administration, and/or 8 years equivalent work experience. Certifications in ERP systems administration, general systems administration or equivalent work experience.
  • Technical Ability: Fundamental understanding of Epicor ERP. C# .net programming and SQL queries.  Specific software familiarity valued: Epicor v10.0, Qlikview, Crystal Reports.  Ideal candidate will be able to write and publish SSRS reports.  Very proficient in Microsoft Office. 
  • Travel: Limited travel is required to support multiple locations.
